What does Botox treat?

Botox has been used to correct wrinkles for decades. It blocks nerve signals in your muscles, so the affected tissue is temporarily frozen, lessening the appearance of wrinkles.

But Botox can only work on wrinkles that are otherwise known as “expression lines.” These are found between the brows or crow’s feet around the eyes.

Botox won’t work on fine lines or static wrinkles. Static wrinkles are found on your cheeks, neck, and jaw.

What do dermal fillers treat?

Dermal fillers, or soft tissue fillers, are injected under the skin to add volume and “plumpness.”

Dermal fillers, sometimes called soft tissue fillers, are substances designed to be injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness.

Dermal fillers are used to treat varying signs of aging, thinning lips, wrinkles under your eyes, recessed scars, and static wrinkles.
