With winter around the corner, your skin will begin changing, again. During the summer our skin is more prone to oil and breakouts. During the winter, our skin will become dry and red.
You can always go and pick up a face mask at the store. But why not use natural ingredients and make one at home if you can?
3 DIY Facials for the Winter
Oatmeal Mask
This mask is one of the best masks for the winter because it’s nourishing and hydrating. You will need an equal amount of oatmeal flakes, honey, and yogurt. Mix all of the ingredients together, apply to your face and neck, and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Rinse your face off with warm water and voila! You can apply this mask two times a week for better results.
Banana Mask
Bananas are great for your skin because they are hydrating, which helps prevent any dry cracked skin from the cold weather. You’ll need a half of one banana, mash it up in a bow, and mix 1 tbsp of yogurt and honey. After mixing the ingredients, apply it to your face and neck for 20 minutes and wash off with warm water. Your skin will be left feeling extra moisturized.
Strawberry and Lemon Juice Mask
Do you suffer from redness? Especially red skin in the winter? Then you should try a strawberry and lemon juice mask. Take a handful of strawberries, 2 tbsp of lemon juice and 1 tbsp of honey and blend the ingredients in a blender until you get a smooth paste. Apply on your face for 20 minutes and then wash it off. Strawberries contain salicylic acid, which helps prevent your skin from breakouts and also helps with redness.
